The proposed health insurance premium rate increase is ridiculous. The increase proposed is 26.9%. They charge whatever they want and then dictate what they will or won’t pay for. My doctor says I need certain medication and they so no we won't pay for that. What gives them the wright to charge whatever they can, then increase that by almost 27% in one year and then tell me that they know more than the Dr I have been seeing for yrs and yrs. The law says you have to have health ins, then you allow them to raise the cost of insurance 27% in 1 yr and this happens every year. Then the reports come out and they are making millions and millions each year. There(sic) CEO’s and upper mgm are getting bonus’s that are more than the average person makes in 10 yrs. People like myself who don’t have a job where insurance is payed or offered and have to pay for it all ourselves can’t afford this. An increase of 2 or 5% is one thing but 27% in one year is just plain robbery. Do not allow these kinds of increase’s, go after hospitals and dr’s charging $10,000 to $15,000 dollars to set broken arms, charge $10 to $15 dollars for an aspirin. This happens every day yet nothing is done to stop this. If something were done about that, these cost increases would not be necessary. Allowing a 27% increase in 1 yr is just plain wrong.
