For religious reasons, I do not want my name used in public comments or records. Thank you for respecting that. I am calling about the notice I received for a proposed premium rate increase, for my Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. My comment is I already pay $9315 a year for one person myself, which I feel is horribly expensive already. My husband had a major stroke 13 years ago and was forced to retire before he was ready. I just take care of him full time. I don't even go to the dr. myself for well checkups. I do feel I need to keep insurance for major events, so I have a 1750 deductible. Which I never meet so they pay out nothing for me. I'm not sure how they lumped me in a rating class, but I'm just trying to stick it out until I turn 65, which will be next year. So I would ask that you please deny this request for an increase.

I'm calling on your wanting to raise rates. No, do not raise rates. Nobody can afford this crap anymore. How much money do you think you can keep bleeding out of people? Everybody, you raise rates every single year. Where's this going to end? You can't keep raising rates and think everybody's gonna keep buying insurance. They can't afford it. Stop doing it. It's gotta end somewhere.

Another big insurance rate increase of 10% This is unsustainable! Something needs to change. Americans can't keep picking up the tab because of this. If I kept adding 10% increase to the fees that I charge clients in my business I would be broke in 2 years.

Would like to make my displeasure of this rate increase. Rates are already way out of control and people are coming to a point of not being able to afford anything with insurance rates and taxes blowing people out of affordable living. These insurance companies are running the whole health field with doctors can't do what they think is best for the patients because they just deny everything. They are making millions and absolutely no reason for an increase again. Already went up 100 month from last year's price and now want another increase?

We have Welmark, Blue Cross and Blue Shield. It costs my husband and I $33,000 a year for health insurance, and it makes me sick. I was just telling my husband we need to find a different health care. We can't afford to keep paying this. It's outrageous. Period.

They keep asking for more and more money each year! And people stop having insurance because they can’t afford it. And why they keep asking for more money while they have $1 billion in the reserves! While the policy holder gets less and less! They better provide better coverage and they better show me why. I would have to say no for the increase.
