Below are comments received regarding Avera Health Plans
This is sad that Avera wants to do this in the middle of the year when people can't change their market place insurance, what a low blow. A 14.8% increase when they didn't even give out a 2% raise to their employees WOW!!!!!
Also it is not my problem that they decided to go with a new computer system called EPIC that they paid millions for and are trying to recoup their money back by increasing their Health Insurance to those that got it thru the Market Place.
They are not increasing the Health insurance in the middle of the year for their employees they should not be able to do this to those that have Market Place.!!!!
Just a thought Hospitals should not be able to have their own insurance it is the worst ever.
I chose Avera Health plans on the market place due to the amount I was going to pay monthly, if they are going to increase my premium I will not return to them when next year has to come, they should not be able to change the premium in the middle of the year unless I can also go back and change or have the choice to change. This is just wrong and to be honest very crooked and dirty play. It is not my problem they have only been in it 2 years. They are getting paid very well for their health insurance which is not easy to work with, nor do they cover what was first said when applying.
Please do not allow Avera Health plans to change their insurance rates until the year is over!!!!!!! So that all have the opportunity to decide if they want to continue with this Insurance.
Hello,
This is to inform you of my high displeasure with Avera Health Plans proposed 14.8% price increase effective Jan 1, 2027 on my health insurance policy. I just switched to Avera Health Plans because I can't afford the higher priced plans. Now, they're becoming like all the rest. Please do not allow these health insurance companies to raise their costs more than the current rate inflation which is currently at 3.5%. 14.8% is ridiculous and I am feeling gouged to the point I'll be leaving Avera Plans if you allow this to go through.
Please acknowledge receipt of my email so I know you received it. Thank you.
