Des Moines – El Messiah Muhammad Moor, age 27, of Des Moines, was charged with five counts of Insurance Fraud - Presenting False Information (Class D Felony), one count Theft 2nd Degree (Class D Felony), and one count Fraudulent Practice 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor) following an investigation by the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau.

The charges against Moor stem from an investigation that began in September 2022. According to criminal complaints filed by the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau, Moor provided false information and fabricated documents in support of six insurance loss claims and received $2,273 in benefits he otherwise would not have been entitled to.

On February 10, 2023, Moor was arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail.
