Des Moines - Frank Tarasi, age 36, of Hiawatha pled guilty on October 27, 2022, to one count of Insurance Fraud - Application Submission (Class D Felony) following an investigation by the Iowa Insurance Division's Fraud Bureau.
The investigation began in May of 2022 after the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau received information that Tarasi, while working as an insurance producer, altered documents and submitted them in support of a life insurance policy knowing they misrepresented material facts.
Following his guilty plea, Tarasi received a deferred judgment, was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $1,025 and will be placed on unsupervised probation for one year.
